Arsenal could end their seven-year wait for a league title against ninth-placed Brighton at the Amex on Sunday.

Joe Montemurro’s side are four points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who face bottom-side Yeovil and will visit Arsenal in the final league game of the Women’s Super League season on 11 May.

An Arsenal win would guarantee the Gunners their 15th league title in a season that saw them, at one stage, missing seven first-team players through injury.

They will also claim the title if City fail to win, regardless of their own result. An Arsenal defeat and a City draw or win will take it down to the final day.

Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Birmingham in March secured their Champions  League qualification for next season and three of their players - prolific Dutch striker Vivianne Miedema, captain Kim Little and Switzerland international Lia Walti - have been named in the 2019 PFA Women's Super League Team of the Year

Nine assists and 21 goals in 18 appearances mean Miedema is currently the WSL’s top scorer, three ahead of Manchester City’s Nikita Parris.

Brighton usually play their league games at Crawley Town’s Broadfield Stadium, 21 miles from the club’s main ground, but the Seagulls have offered men’s season ticket holders two free tickets and its women’s season ticket holders five for the game on Sunday.
